WTF!
Says everything really about correct tables and map areas being updated.

Theres one doing egr delete...
...except any logging software shows the egr as fully active and the egr error operational.
They say its simulating...I say...you aint doing it right if you need a simulator
Theres a 25x1 temp table that kills EGR at 0c or below

Sounds to me like wrong switches have been toggled .. ;) for edc15 there are several bytes of what I suspect single bit switches that tell ecu what stuff it has to monitor/control. Not all values come to play on every car, and haven't discovered what all the bits stand for,..

What we need is a set of well know car configurations and their bin dumps, to single out each bit, then we can forget about ecusafe 8-)

 sound good to me.

I found to mine once you filled in all the tables...there is often a gap filled with byte patterns.
Sometimes these byte patterns repeat between other tables.

I also managed to find two bin tables one software version apart.....one dpf and one non dpf.
Every single table is in identical position.
Except the values vary (soem are activated) and the bytes between tables that are active and inactive differ.

Considering the amount of changes.... would be much quicker to rebadge the software version in the BIN then update all the changes.
How ECUsafe could possibly duplicate all the changes I have no idea.

Can you share those files one with dpf and another without? Any info to what vehicle they belong is welcomed..

At the end of program code, just before the map data starts on psa edc15c2 at least, there is some space left for future versions of the Sw, and by looking at some bin dump with different Sw numbers one cansse that this space is smaller and smaller as the sw numbers increase.

IMO, ecusafe uses some kind of algorithm to detect bit/byte patterns and then acts on the values it thinks are correct, hence the mess it makes with some ECUs..

These are both for Honda Civic 2.2 iCDTi.
Bosch EDC16c31
Software IDs on the filename.
#107 is the UK only non-dpf version (from my car).
#108 is the European dpf version (from a french guy and happened to be the next software ID to mine).

These engines were later replaced by the EDC17 iDTEC where dpf was compulsory.
You do not have permissions to view the files yet. You have to be registered and you have to make at least 3 quality / unique posts.

Thanx!

There seem to be some quite interesting differences. Do the cars have the same transmission type? What about other perks like cruise control and similar features.

There is only 6spd manual on the diesels.

To my knowledge they are both type s gt of the same year.
Cruise control
ABS, EBD, TCS, VSA
Climate control
Some have satnav.
Some have panoramic sunroof.

I have sent the owner and email requesting more info.

I have noticed a lack of duration and soi selectors on mine.....at least I cant find such a thing.
I hear they are normally 256 per table id selected by ECT temp.
Many tables are duplicates or parallel maps.
NM>iq x3 identical
lambda x3 identical
duration x6 identical
soi set of 5 set of 2 and another set of 2.....so only actually 3 SOI map types
Boost and n75 have 3 unique maps of each.
egr duty x2 are different but the 3x EGR maps are identical.
5x rail pressure maps 1&5 are unique 2,3,4 are identical...so 3 rail map types
2x iq DW maps identical.

thanks for all this work.
my civic is a 5 door 2007 sport with cruise control and climate control, no satnav too.

So basically extras are identical to mine and the model year the same.
