PSA DW10 TED4 ENGINE

Hello,
I'm based in Brisbane, Australia. 32 years as a Mechanic and run my repair business Peugeotech here in Brisbane.
At the moment I'm finishing an Engine Dyne room fitted with the PSA DW10 TED4 engine. The University of Queensland is going to use it for fuel research. A big problem for me! It needs to run, of course, without the car attached!

Wow, thank you for the interest!
It's a long story but what has happened is I've been asked to help finish the planned install of the engine into the Dyne and get it to run.
It is their plan to run the Delphi3.4 system just like in the car so we have about 26km's if Peugeot 308 wiring lying outside the Dyne room! Quite funny really but scary !
I've worked on and studied this sort of thing since 1986 but of course with the advent of multiplex and changing designs and new systems, one cannot absorb everything , put bread on the table and stay sane!
Do you know if it is possible to set up this sort of engine DCM, or an equivalent to run as we want as a stand alone without all the immobiliser, BSI etc. inputs? The wiring diagram suggests to me that the BSI controls an engine fuse/relay panel to switch on the DCM.
We would like to activate the DCM and then use PP2000 to communicate with it without needing vehicle inputs.
I've been led to believe the Delphi3.4 is not popular but the Siemens 803 just might lend itself to the task.
The reason for all this is that a PHD student wants to study the system and then use a fuel called DME in the engine and then change some of the pressure and checksum parameters once he is skilled. A very enthusiastic proposal! :roll:

With French cars there is not an easy way to do the thing that you are planing. The best way to do this is to keep things simple as possible. My advice is to use Bosch EDC15 ECU from a 2.2 engine and this is why. Delphi and Siemens systems are way more complicated then Bosch one.
2.2 (DW12 TED4) has 4 valves per cylinder and has the same hardware setup like yours 2.0 (DW10 TED4). The differnce are the high pressure pump and some of the sensors, but the ECU can be recalibrated to work with them. Bosch system can be made to work without immo and BSI. You will need to make few adjustments to the wiring loom to power up the ecu and the sensors via relays. This few adjustments can be real headache because French car engineers (idiots) color coded the wiring loom very bad. Every wire has different color, that color is transalated to a number in the wiring diagram and then that number shows what the wire connects. :shock:

Hello im work in peugeot dealer, i donk know the way to get off the inmo in this ecu, and dont know who know is a realy short cars with this systems, so you only can start de engine with a bsi connected/ key programed and com 2000 with his antenna, if you need help i can help you to doit, is this way or change all inyection system for bosch or siemens sid 803a

Yes the French way is quite difficult! I was hoping some one would confirm that the Bosch EDC is the best way.
We will be powering up the monster harness and see what happens today.
I'll report back when we do get something and post it in the General stuff. Thank you very much, every one. It is great to have some support!

with Bosch EDC15 you will be able to do things much easily.
