Starting from scratch

Postby lol4fun » Fri Dec 13, 2013 8:21 pm

How do you guys recognise maps in a huge sea of data?

I was playing about with WinOLS the other day and it just confused the hell out of me, I know if i search this forum there will be addresses of the relevant maps but i want to know how to find them myself. Basically i want to learn how to do things properly myself :)

And then after that I will need to know how to change and what to change in the maps I have found to get more power from the engine lol.

Lots of reading and lots of work on different cars if possible.

You will get the sense by reading the numbers (max, min), the shape of the map and values on each axis.

i have 3 cars but only one is able to be tuned that i know of as the other 2 are non turbo petrol.

actually thats a good point, is there anything i can do to something like a ford zetec engine? surely they would be pretty well tuned from the factory?
