I have this file from my friend who make remap on his own car. He pay for the remap , and i want to see what is the diference from original file to understand more for remaping. I use MPPS for reading and writing from ECU and winols testversion and vagedcsuit for reading files.

as i predicted,
your friend has probably slave device.

the guy who made a tune encrypted it.

but in 99% of cases you would find crap (maybe i am wrong for this, but probably not),
so do not worry. Good tuner newer encrypts his file
becase there is nothing to hide...who understands the modifications clearly -- than he already
knows something.

changes in the mod do not have any value if you do not understand them.

i suggest you get your original file and do it yourself, this one is not hard and
you will probably make better results anyway.

copy/paste strategy is not ok, you than copy style, mistakes and tricks that will
lead you in wrong direction...

When you get your car remapped ask for a copy of the original and state that you do not wish the ecu to be encrypted or protected in any way.

If you cannot now download the file and would like to learn about the differences there are loads of already tuned files available on the internet.

It is probably best not to attempt to download the encrypted file.

I have two cars one is encrypted and the other is free from any upgrade. from the three or four ecu mapping tools I have all will read the ecu map for the standard car, and none will work with the mapped ecu.

Hope this helps
