BMW E66 760Li owner intro

Postby mws » Mon Dec 30, 2013 7:39 pm

Hi-- newbie to OBD2 ECU tuning. Have a 2003 BMW E66 760Li and am interested in anything I can learn about editing the engine management for enhanced performance. Have a laptop with XP, a cable, INPA, etc, and am communicating with the DMEs.

Also have a spare set of DMEs, since I have an entire wrecked 760 for parts.

Here's the exhaust mod I have done so far.

Also have K&N drop ins in the air boxes. Could feel a difference with the filters.

Would also love to know if anyone knows of data logging that would work on the N73 DMEs well. Bimmersoftware is not interested in doing one unless he can get his hands on a car, which is likely not going to happen. Logging one DME at a time is fine for me.

Hello,

i am new to this Forum and i reply to this thread because I also drive a 760Li from 2006 with the N73 Engine.
Did you finally changed the ECU Management after your modifications? Did you gain a measureable Performance?

Best regards,
Max
