Add Map to hexdump

Postby AngelPowy » Mon Jan 06, 2014 4:05 pm

Hello, i have a question to ask to the chiptuning population. I am a newbie in this domain, i am actually training to master winols and particulary to find maps in every hexdump. Currently i ask myself a few question that may interrest lot of people, is that possible to add a new map to an hexdump. For exemple, you take an EDC15C3 ecu on a 2l hdi PSA engine with mechanic Wastegate and you want to set a VNT on this engine, how can i manage this turbo with the ECU since i have no map for it actually. And my second question do we have to manage the actuator movement (the variation of the geometry) or do it do it by himself in function of the pressure request.
PS: I am sorry for my poor english.

In this ecu yiu can activate vnt control, disable egr, rewire egr solenoid in ecu connection and use egr as vnt control map

Thank you for your answer, I'd never think about it ! Ans Is the vnt control by pressure or should we controlle the geometry?

vnt will be controlled by vacuum running through the egr solenoid... just like it used to control the egr valve
