Peugeot 206 2.0 hdi - limiters

Postby joao_d_e » Tue Jan 14, 2014 10:17 pm

Today I remap my car but I don't gain a lot.
Probably I don't changed a limiter. I change the file in Ecm 6.1 titanium (injection at part throttle, fuel during acceleration, torque limiters).
Injection at part throtle map1 and 2 isn't changed .
I copered my file with 607 2.2 hdi 133

Make sure you haven't missed the temperature limiters... they are the ones most people seem to miss.

You missed IQ Limiter, and some other maps to achive requested power

You changed:
Torque Limiter
Smoke Limiter
Drivers Wish

And 2 more maps -> ( keep that values back to stock if you dont know what that change does! )

thanks for your help.
It is the problem of Ecm for beginers, I don´t know exactly what I change.
I think I need to change, but I don't have winols and don't know how do in Ecm:
$67F9E IQ Limiter - Fuel Temp 1 4x8
$68024 IQ Limiter - Fuel Temp 2
$77F9E IQ LIM FUEL TEMP 3
$78024 IQ LIM FUEL TEMP 4

what you think about the changes done?

ECM Titanium is sometimes one useless piece of crap - too little maps that aren't named right, wrong axis definitions and very unflexible way of hex editing. :problem:

...While sometimes it is helpful to find map addresses in WinOLS too - by looking at driver's settings..

Find a PDF file "what is altered in a bad remap" - it is made on an example of a 2.0 HDi - very well written about a temperature limiter.

You will need WinOLS anyway.

The pdf is a good starting point... I believe it was written by pro_steve a few years back...
you can even find a french pdf by someone called J-Sky in which he goes into detail which map does what and how to change them for a 2.0hdi 90 and it should bring it up to 120bhp...
Btw you didnt say what version yours was...
stay clear of ecm, like its been said, use winols demo for mapfinding and tunerpro to edit and export them for free

I need Winols, I have 1.500 but don't work.
I find in ECM one IQ limiter (J-sky), is it possibel have a interpretation of it?

Hello, now I work on Winols 2.24 but I have two problems.

1- In temperature limiters, x axis is 3531 3571 3601 ...3713 (location is 7792E) . what is that?

2-The location 77D46 (Torque limiter) don't appear on winols potencial maps but in ecm titanium it is fine.
