DO NOT post the same topic 3 times. I have deleted 2 of the same post on the forum.

About your question - If the ECU has mechanical damage you must fix it. The maps inside are OK.

thx for the reply sir ,
so as long as the chip is fine or not damage , the map files inside is ok ? or if the chip is damage and need to be replaced , the map files is lost right ?

and one thing , for example the capacitor, resistor, pcb,or the the pins are broken , like corrosion or water damaged , but the chip is fine , the map files are okay right ?

sorry for alot of question , thanks for your time , have a nice day .

warm regards ,

Or if the chip is damage and need to be replaced , the map files is lost right ? - YES

And one thing , for example the capacitor, resistor, pcb,or the the pins are broken , like corrosion or water damaged , but the chip is fine , the map files are okay right ? - This kind of damage can also damage the chip so you must check everything.

My advice to you is to get a used replacement ECU and with diagnostic equipment flash in the newest updated software for that car and ECU.
