How to remove immo and key adaptation

EDC15P+ VAG ASZ

Postby johnnym » Tue Feb 25, 2014 1:34 pm

Hi, I have been looking but have read conflicting posts ..

I have a 2nd ecu that I want to be able to swap with my current standard one.

I see the options are

1, Immo off, but have read that the ECU will re learn from the dash
2, clone immo chip from old ECU to New one thus keeping same sku

Can anyone suggest clarify the above or suggest alternative.

My plan is to remap the replacement ecu, but have a backup for when I brick it !

Thanks

John

Cheers

Hi
The best way is immo-off.

All working after re writing the eeprom thanks for your help and it does seem to stay off once set.
