BMW 730d mpps ECU not found

Hi all,
I made my first attempt to read a BMW E38 730d ecu but I couldn't get very far :(

I connected a battery charger that provides more than 14V
But when I choose "F1" to identify the ecu, the program keeps saying "ecu not found"

Am I still missing something ?

50-50 some reads, some not. Its not MPPS fault.

i had a problem on e39 530d 1999, with ori. kess v2 R/W ok, than after mode, no posibile to R/W with MPPS,GALLETTO1260,KWP2000 and FGTECH V52, i have now bougth the FGTECH v54 and was able to R/W ok, on my friends e39 530d 2002 i have normal read with MPPS(48k),GALLETTO1260(512k),KWP2000(48k) file and after he has mod the file we have writen with GALLETTO1260 all ok back ;)
