Fiat stilo EGR off problem

hi all,
I have the 2mb ORI file read with mpps. I used volta to remove egr from this ECU16c39.
when i decode the file it gives in output a 279kb file..
Is it correct? do i have to load this file with mpps? i'm not sure.
i've already used this program but obtaining a 2mb file as decoded result.

You need 2mb file ,maybe you made something vrong, after that is good to corect cheksum with winols !

Don't try to upload the file. An out file has to be the same size as the input file. Checksums are already corrected by Volta.

p.s.: I personally hate programs like Volta and ECUSafe, but I admit - I used Volta once to remove EGR for AR156 multijet when I was really in a hurry... :oops:

this has to be done manuall.

i opened this strange 279kb file and this is what i found inside:

Code: Select all: You deleted an attachment from this message. The original MIME headers for the attachment were: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252; name="varesestilonoegr" Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="varesestilonoegr"

cant be working.....
i'm not so confident with winols just used for well known cases.. anybody can tell me the address for this ECU pls?
it is a fiat stilo 1.9 120cv ECD16c39

Here is you file with egr off by volta , and as you can see it is not cheksum corected, and have 2mb :D
But the best, it is doing it manualy in winols ;)

As far as i Know cks is not important in edc16 ECU but is mandatory in edc15. I know it is still a best practce to correct it. Where i can find the map/memory address to' correct it with winols? Sorry if i'm annoying but I'm a bit in a hurry with tris car.

If you have winols, import the file and you can corect it by importing, it will ask you if you will corect or not, but most toll can do corection by flashing in the car ;)
