Question Peugeot / Citroen ECU and BSI

1:Can you re-install a used BSI / ECU if you have the code to the device?
example, if I take a used ECU and have the code "ALH3" can I can marry in with existing BSI in my car?

I assume that we use Peugeot Planet 2000 when we do this.

Or is it better to change the pin code + vin in ECU / BSI to "FF" where is in the file?
is it easier to marry these devices with each other?

Hi soxten,

you can marry a ECU or BSI without any problems like i know. Just tranfer the old Data to the new one.
But first wait for advice from other members

Just make BSI virgin and your friend could code it where he wants.
He only need the old pin code.

sorry for answering so late, but remember that in bsi and dashboard is stored the kms of the car.with pps when you first put the bsi you make a pairing with the ecu.so you cant just use it to another car just simple.if the new car has more total kms than the bsi you want to try the minute you plugged it will take the new kms and stored them in memory.it also can happen the other way.the security code is used for making keys and updating the firmware of the bsi.
