VW T5 2,5 TDI 174HP EDC16U31 something missed

Postby disappear » Mon May 26, 2014 7:51 pm

Hi,

i tried to tune a VW T5:

EDC16U31
ECU: 37390621P52
SW: 390621

Attached you will find OLS Projectfile, org and tuned.

I must have missed something because the car drives the same like with stock file.
Searched for the gear dependent torque limiters but cant find them, normal they are after IQ to NM map, i can see this in a jetta EDC16U31 Damos but not in my file.

Thank you!!

Smoke Limiter MAF/MAP --> leave this stock,... This its not map you described

Play with Lambda maps
Still missing 6x Turbo pressure temp. maps
In this file there are much more SOI maps, and its not needed to change entire X axis (iq) but you can change only last 2-3 column

Hey thank you !!

Can you give me some tips how i can tune the lambda maps?
I multiplied the values with 14,5 (which should be lambda 1 for diesel) and then i got already values around the 16,5-18 at the stock map.
So this is already okay?
The x-axis is maf or? This is also already up to 1200 mg which should be enough for my 1,6 bars, or should i extend the x-axis up to 1400 mg air?

Another question:
Should i disable the egr via hysteresis maps or will the DPF regeneration then be also disabled?

Thanks in advance!!

¿Turbo pressure temp. maps are 1ECECE,1ECFC6,1ED116,1ED20E and so on? Which axis is the temp?

The x-axis in lambda is MAF.
If you multiply the values with 14,5, you have got AFR.
Anyway, you can lower the values to inject the fuel that you need.

I think your boost limiter by atm pressure is OK.

I tought this are pressure maps for engines with two turbo chargers or so?
I saw this on BMW E90 Maps, at the 330d engine there are also the pressure maps present for the 335d engine.

Can anyone confirm that this are the pressure / temp maps? If yes, how should they be tuned?

Not sure if i should extend it over the whole atmospheric pressure range.
Maybe i`m wrong, but i think if we can push the charger a bit harder at see level, why not also at higher areas? There should be some space to the limit that engineers gave it also on the mountain, like on the see level.
Or am i wrong?

Updated Project.

- SOI just last columns changed. SOI Limiter also changed, is that to much (to high risk for knocking or head lifting?). Only the "warm" SOI maps are adjusted, should i also do something to the cold ones? Added SOI 0 to 5, are there still some missing?
- Lambda maps adjusted, added a 100mg more air to x axis and whole range between 1,5krpm and 4krpm got AFR 17 now, is that to low for a dpf equipped car?
- I`m still searching for the boost pressure by temp maps and how to tune them right.

Can i give this remap a try?
