Hi

This is not so much a learning thing. I have a friend with a 1.4 petrol golf, I think the ECU is Bosch ME7.5, and he is having lots of problems with the EGR system.

Obviously, it would be easier to just get rid of it and set egr off in the map file...

If anyone knows:

Can KWP2000+ read an ME7.5 ECU?
Where the ECU-OFF Switch is normally hiding or what string to search for on ME7.5?

Any help would be very much appreciated!!

I have never try to ME7.5, but seems to be on the list.

In the picture is all except Renault marelli IAW 5NR, did not fit on print screen picture...

Nice one.. I guess Audi/Volkswagen ME7x (boot mode) would do it.... in boot mode. Which is a little bit too much of a faff for me on this one (i dont have bench / soldering equipment)...

Hardware - KWP2000
Software to use - KWP2000 ME7.xx edition (Genesis) for VAG cars NO NEED for boot mode.

Also you can use MPPS v12 flasher.

ah nice one for the tip ;) is there any good way to find the EGR-OFF switch in the dump?

It's really interesting theme. I'm still looking for an adress in firmware to switch off egr.
