I have files from 120HP and 150HP versions of the same car and cvsdiff shows huge differences between files. Better to look at 3 files from the same type of car, but with differnet software versions. Or better, 2 similar files with specific known differences ( like egr off )
then you can see what has changed.

But one ting I have learnt is that even the locations of particular maps can change between software versions.... I suspect that maps are identified by their header structures rather than by location.
