Re Write the program.

Postby rmtab » Thu Sep 18, 2014 3:41 pm

Hi!

I'm looking for someone who is good at assembly code and know some of how the old MSA-11 with 8051 processor works.

I would like to rewrite the program a little bit to make the processor read one of the maps in another way.

Anyone who could look at this and would like to give it a try?

Iv'e also among other found the boost limiter in this old "non boost controlled" unit. So I also have some valuable info to share..

If someone gets interested I post the bin file.

Thanks /Chris

Its been a few years, but ive done a bit of low level programming. But is there not an ide in C that would save you having to write in assembler?

PM me, I will see if i can help.

Hi!
Maybe you need to go to a non-standard way like http://rusefi.com/forum/?

Thank you croma150!

I've PM you. Glad to see what you could do.

2xded, I just want to do a minor change whit how the ECU reads one of the maps. All other is perfect and working all out!

Thanx

Seems like croma150 maby got lost in the bin file... ;-).

So if he don't get out in the coming days, anyone else who would like to give this a try I would be very glad?!

I believe it is rather simple for the one who have been doing some backward engineering in ecu programs.

And I know there is some people around who is really good at this! :-)

Of course I'm willing to pay something if it turns out to take some time...

Great thanks /Chris

Ha ha :D Yes, something like that!. Unfortunately my work has got in the way.

I have had a look at I dont think I can give it enough time for the moment. Im working on accurately mapping an edc16 from the croma, so I probably wont be able to give it the time it deserves.

I will keep it on the radar, though...

How exactly do you see it? Do you want to manually edit the bin file right away? Or have you un-assembled the binary into assembled which you can at least re-compiler and re-flash, without any changes in the logic to begin with - but at least you have some compilable source codes?

Anyway, I've got enough posts and I was able to read the private message.

I am a software developer by trade. I have not done much assembler in the last 10 years, but anyway I believe I have some qualification in this whole area - but maybe not.

In my opinion what you are looking for is pretty challenging.
