EDC15C2 this is PSA not Renault. Renault is EDC15C3. This important because immo work differ in C2 and C3.
For EDC15C3 most known way for immo off is to use immo emulator. You need virginazed ECU with factory reset EEPROM. Immo wire from BSI to ECU cut off and ECU side connect to emulator. At first ignition ON ECU will store in EEPROM immo code from emulator and next times compare stored and received that all time will the same. ECU will unlocked each time.
Search Google or Ebay for "Renault immo emulator".
I know other way for EDC15C3 with BIN modification but this way is not clear - you can't modify ECU configurations more, ECU not store DTCs, MPPS can't work with this ECU, same diagnostic programs become stupid etc. I not recommended this way for all time usage, for emergency only.

I would doubt a emulator would work in my application due the fact I have the engine ECU etc in a Clio, using Clio UCH/Key.

Also I know theres some differances between C2 and C3, but its hard to figure out which one it is, other than the fact I found the correct wiring pin out by searching C2, rather than C3.

I know only one works on MPPS, but I forget which now.

Looks like this is going to be a lot more hassle than I thought/was told!

You right about more hassle. Renault very closed company and not allow leak information about ecu firmwares. And firmware is main difference between C2 and C3. C2 made by PSA programmers and C3 made by Renault programmers. Hardware is almost identical. Way for immo off from C2 not work for C3. Emulator work with any C3 but ecu must be prepared for emulator. This preparation is main trouble - you need load to ecu eeprom dump from virgin ecu.

No eeprom programming is needed.

Simple dump mod will do the trick.
