and it would be nice to get as many people involved in this discussion and proposals for their opinion. It does not matter whether the proposal is stupid because sometimes referred stupid proposal comes to solving problems. :o

Just curious...you manage to do this with use of 1st gear torque limiter? Or some other gear?
And if yes...where are rpm/kmh ratios and selector maps located? How to find them?

And some other question...by what sensors is car speed calculated? ABS? Is it using all 4 wheels to calculate middle value of speed or it is using sensor on gearbox?

hi,
ecu calculates which gear is selected by rpm and vehicle speed ratio.
you have to find gear limiters and you need to change ratio when you stand still you limit rpm by first gear limiter
and when car moves more than 1kmh you change second gear ratio that way that ecu thinks it is already second gear,
and in second gear limiter you lift up torq limiter in all rev range.

that means when you stand still it is limited by rpm, when you move limiter goes away.
where maps are located it depends on sw version.

Yes, I have idea how this works but I cannot find where are gear ratios. Is it a single value or is some map? I know where gear limiters are...at least I think that :)
And how is speed measured, by gearbox/front wheels or ABS sensors from all wheels? I ask this because when you start moving with wheels slipping that is allready first gear ratio for wheel speed/rpm but not car speed. I'm thinking how to prevent wheel slipping with rising rpms...

So, if you put limiter for lunch at 2800 rpm, how to prevent rising rpms in first few moments when car starts moving (and wheels are probably slipping)? Let say that we want to prevent rising rpms until car acctually reach traction and driving (front in this case) wheels are same speed as rear. I think it would be easy to do if car speed is measured as middle values of all wheel speed.

If you whant to prevent wheels slipping in first gear, lower iq for first gear.

to be sure where are all needed maps, use damos and compare to your original file.
that way you will be able to find any map you wish.

I haven't got this in damos that I look at...but I found it in another one so I managed to find this values in my ecu sw version...thanks!
