In my opinion, never write without an extra power source for battery of the car, and never use a laptop without charger.never in a parking, always in garage,is much safer.

I also connect spare battery before flashing - thats the rule :),
also it is clever to take the fuse out for fans in cars that turn on while flashing.

had an 2001 Audi S3 last week, read it by OBD with Galletto 1260, when I tried to write the mod file it stuck at some point and said "error in XXXXX bloc" or something like it.

Pull the ECU, open and there was an encrypt board, had to desolder it, soldered the 29F400 again and tried to make it in bootmode with galetto and MPPS both failed... I was able to read, but can´t wreite

I desoldered the 29F400again and write with an external programmer... and finally worked.

Other times I recover some ECUS with MPPS in bootmode (galetto 1260 too) but this one was impossible.

What to do when you accidently flash the wrong file into an EDC16 for example? This using MPPS.
Can you use MPPS to recover it? By OBD? Benchflashing? Or only BDM ?
