Is it possible to read ECU with bluetooth OBDII reader? What software would support this?

My son has a interface for his Seat 1.8 Turbo and he can read the ecu with bluetooth on his telephone.

Hi,

sure it is, but you need a special Bluetooth adapter.

For most cars, it works with an ELM327 adapter (10-15 USD off ebay) - everything that is fully ODB2 compatible will work. You can view/edit faults and do diagnostic readouts, ...

Check out "Torque" on Android marketplace for example, that's what I use.

If you're talking about reading/flashing the ECU software itself - that's something else again and I would personally NEVER EVER attempt to flash that way...

I Use this ELM Adapter too. It works fine, but sampling rate ist not very hight. But maybe its a fact of the ECU(EDC15P)

And i think Torque ist the best app for this.

I've used torque on android, its great. but that isn't reading the ECU maps, its only some live data. Like was said earlier, you don't want to be flashing ECU maps using blootooth, even if it was possible.
