As promissed since release of Swiftec, we do not intend to stop developing it!

The DTC detection algorithm for EDC17 that was introduced as a new feature in the previous Swiftec release was updated to increase the number of supported firmware variations.

After some burned eyes working nights and days we changed the detection algorithm, it is now based on a new analyzer core developed especially for firmware families that are runs on Tricore-based hardware.

This will reduce a risk of false positive detection of data entities. The algo was designed as a scalable solution, this detector will now become as a base for variety of unified solutions intended to make any kind of widely demanded tuning actions such as EGR-, DPF- and DTC off faster, much simply and more accurately.

The good news is that this new algo its not limited only on EDC17, it will include all other modern ECUs based Tricore MCUs. This means many nice news are still to come!

Another important breaktrough done by our R&D department is that we managed to make much deeper and more detailed analysis of EDC16 and EDC17 firmware execution logic on a individual subsystems context.

We would like also to inform that we are now able to locate a set of features that will help all costumers to make an effective solution that allow to fully remove EGR functionality not acting on DTCS but on it is real subsytem functionalities.

For this to become a real breakthrough we need help from costumers to participate with us in the development process.

We are requiring costumers that have EDC16/EDC17 cars and are able to do small tests on some ecu functions as EGR, Lambda (O2), Flaps, Air Mass Meters (MAF), Shutoff valves, etc.. We can produce quick and effective test files that later will become standard to Swiftec functions.

solutions on Swiftec diferent modules. Functionalities of DPF, EGR and other modules are starting to be added ECU by ECU being fully disconnected with no need of having any hardware part connected.

Completely agree..

I use winols - that only cost me 1500 eu.. yeah ok you have to learn more, but to me id would rather do that
then spend 5000eu on a software which may not be of much use.

I am yet to see a demo of this.. so I wont buy until I have used the software to know if its suitable.

but it is very easy to criticize as we all know.

Every clear person knows that there is a lot of work, effort and patience in development.

But every good product has to be accessible. From my point of view maybe this discussion will be noticed and guy will actually realize that this is not just empty discussion but actually reality. We all had to learn that in one business development period.

Despite our efforts being concentrated now mostly on the upcoming Swiftec v2.0 we are still doing some serious work on Swiftec v1.x and this update is a proff of that, we added 3 new modules according to our costumers requests and lots of new features, include stability updates to existings ones.

New modules are:

We start this modules with not a big range of supported cars at the moment, but it will grow in future, follow our customers needs and depends of our possibilites and customers feedbacks!

With current restructuration of our staff we have started to improve greatly our automatic map detections and also our map packs. For example we have finished VAG EDC17C64 that now includes many important maps and all brand new VAG SIMOS ecus in the variants 12 and 18 and many new things are still to come.

DTC Removal modules also continue to have a evolution and new release is introducing a new DTC detection algorithm for EDC16 that significantly increases accuracy of detection and modification of data sets. This algorithm is based on differential approach, so the more information contained in firmware image file (Full Reads ) more complete modification will be produced.
