Map SOI

Postby Bart » Sat Nov 10, 2012 2:51 pm

Hi to all.
I am looking at a map Bosch EDC15C7.
I did not understand what are the values on the X and Y axes of the map SOI.
The Z axis is the degree of advance (of beginning injection diesel)?
With which factor are corrected the axes X, Y and Z?

Value:
- X axes: 0 100 400 600 800 1000 1400 1800 2000 2200 2600 3000 3400 4000 5000 6000 6500 7000 7020 7030
- Y axes: 0 500 600 1500 2000 3000 4000 6000 8000 10000 12000 13000 13500 14000 16000 18000
- Z axes: to 0 from 4098

Thank you! :)

PS: how do you attach images to my posts? Thanks! :)

This is NOT a SOI map. It is Injection Duration map.

Sorry for the confusion! I am a principainte and this is my first map ...
So the Z-axis are milliseconds opening of the injectors? The values in the table should be multiplied by some correction value or are already real?
Thank you!

You have selected right map, now you need to find X and Y in the bin, also use correct factors. Z is degrees BTDC when start of injection begins...

Both SOI and duration maps have engine speed (rpm) and iq (mm3/i) in their axis in every EDC15. Although some maps don't have the axis adjacent to the data.

In this case, duration map has Rail pressure vs. IQ mm3/stroke...not RPM vs IQ.

Oops, you are right, duration is rail vs iq. Mea culpa
