Seems that this is where to go if all else fails. I've dine everything to the T and have resorted to removing 29f400. I got a minipro programmer and the adapter won't work. Where can I get an appropriate programmer and adapter?? There doesn't seem to be a very clear answer.

I don't know why galletto 1260 do bootmode for many ecus and chips bit no for peugeot edc15c2 29f400BT :(

Possible you wrong do boot mode. Right is:
Connect pin 24 29f400 to GND.
Power ON ECU.
After 3-5 sec disconnect pin 24 from GND.
Connect Galleto socket.
Start Galleto program.
Select AUDI.
In Driver go to bottom and find AUDI WV ME7.x.x 29f400BB PIN 24 FLASH A MASSA
Press ECU DATA button and check answer.
If you see "Boot mode inactive" you have Galleto USB driver trouble. Often this is conflict Galleto USB driver and drivers from other program for virtual USB COM port. Tray to uninstall all other USB COM drivers.
If you see EEPROM ident all OK.
First read flash few time and binary compare files for check connection stability. If OK - you can write.

mr. alex_sk is right, this should work.
If not than you really need programmer.

Can i do boot mode for EDC15C2 with MPPS ? Is it the same procedure ?

Ok if that helps someone.....Today i did boot mode with ECU on the car and it works.Car is Peugeot 406 Coupe 2.2HDi 2004 year EDC15C2
1.I removed the battery negative.
2.Turned ignition ON.
3.Conected MPPS to car EOBD and started the software.
4.Then opened the ECU casing.
5.After that conected the boot pin to 29F400 and my friend conected the negative terminal.I waited 5 second with boot cable ( 5kOm ) then removed boot cable.
6.Choosed in MPPS General - Me7.XXX writing ok.All was fine.Tried this procedure for reading and was fine ,too.
I hope this helps someone :)

I don't know but on a few cars Peugeot EDC15C2 when you reflash them like 10 times. After that they want boot mode to continue reading or writing. After boot mode is done then after about 10 more reflashes it need boot mode again :)

In my case, after tree flashings it blocked and only the boot mode was the painkiller. And the method leaving ecu in place and touching only 24 pin to minus with 5kOms is easer way to flash ecu in boot mode.

Hello,
I'm trying to read a edc15c2 (fiat jtd) with a galletto 2 clone.

Procedure:

Turn off the switch to interrupt 12v to the ecu from galletto, connect boot wire (gray wire) to pin 24, turn on the switch to supply 12v to ecu, wait 3 secs and disconnect the wire from pin 24. After all that, press read and I can hear the relays of the galletto and some seconds after error "boot mode not activated".

In the software I choose tool boot -> siemens infinion c167 -> bosch me7-1micro-flash400 boot mode

What I'm doing wrong?

Many thanks
