The correct procedure would be to load the egr off file and cut the brown wire (+12V) from the EGR connector. If you disable the EGR, the valve is full open, but if you disconnect the connector, then you get a EGR position sensor error.
I am working on a Master 2.5 DCI. This piece of shit do not want to cooperate. EGR disabled and closed, but I keep getting a DF056 MAF error , and guess what... It doesn't have a MAF sensor. The french engineers must be on some hard drugs.
BTW , the string to find the EGR switch ends with a 38 instad of a 48 , but it is at the same address.
