VW Bora ARL 150 HP

Postby disappear » Sun Dec 02, 2012 5:33 pm

Hi there,

i`m pretty new to this remap stuff but today i mapped my first car.

It`s a vw bora 150 HP ARL Engine from my stepbrother.

It runs better but something seems to limit the NM or HP.
I have found an article on which the mapfiles from a stock 130 HP and 150 HP engine are compared and on this informations i tried to adjust the mapfiles.

Link: https://sites.google.com/site/vagecumap ... pd-150-bhp

VCDS shows me short peaks up to 1,9 Bar and then it goes down to 1,6 bar.
Seven register are tweaked:
- drivers wish
- maf
- torque limiter
- SOI
- Boost map
- N75 map
- Boost limiter

Does winols automatically sync the mapfiles which are identically?

File Infos:
038906019AQ
0281010048
360004

Some Questions:

- Do i really need to change the N75 MAP the stock map will work fine up to 1,5 Bar so maybe i can use this also for the 1,7 bar?
- Do i need to adjust the x or y axis values when there are values like injection quantity and they have been gained in my tune?
- Drivers wish map goes up to 70 mg fuel per stroke, so i think i could let this also untouched?
- Is the boost limter map the point where i need to set the 1,7 bar max. which i want to have or is this a kind of emergency cut off when it goes over it for a few seconds?

Thanks!!

Hi,

please post your original file in the original files section and link it here in the thread, otherwise it's difficult to spot differences :)

I made a log drive yesterday and saw that the boost pressure goes up to 1,9 bar

Can you please give me a clue what needs to be adjusted?

Hi ! I already answered you in the other forum ;)
In fact it is an ASZ engine - am I right ???

If you really use GT1749VA turbo (as mentioned in the other forum), you also have to copy the N75 precontrol and the boost map from the 130hp file into your file.
Then I would extend the 130hp boost map up to 1,5bar (just take the last columns out of the ARL file) and mod the N75 precontrol if boost spikes appear. I would also take atmospheric boost limiter map from 130hp file and only extend it for higher boost values in lower slopes ...

Regards

PS: do not forget that ARL has a FMIC, so some IAT maps should also be different ;)
Try to search ...

Hi,

thanks for the tips.

Its a GT1749VB

I tried to got my standard file working with the new hardware like stock.
For this i didn`t changed the boost maps.

But now it`s behavior makes sense, because the N75 from the bora file is made for pressure up to 1, 5 bar.
I will try to get it working with the pressure map from the bora file. Thanks!!
