VW Passat AVB 101ps

Postby Andrei » Tue Jan 19, 2016 7:17 pm

Hello there fellow tuning enthusiasts.
I'll be posting a lot of EDC15 and EDC16 Projects from now on.
ALL Projects are made by myself following basic tuning know-how and stuff i learned during my studies in Mechanical Engineering and
Internal Combustion Engines Studies @ Technical University of Vienna, Austria.

I usually make 2 or 3 Tunes (versions) or steps twards the maximum exploitation of the STOCK engine's potential.
Feel free to write to me with suggetions or corrections on this topic or PM.

SVBL= 2750 ? why?

MAP linearization is 200-2600. ( senzor is stock with Sensor VAG# 038906051 Bosch# 0281002177)

n75 stock map and axis..

duration not ok.. at 31 degrees not injection 70mg never. ( with injectors stock)

torque limiter / atm 51% full....

in turbo at 1750 rpm =2878 mbar...( turbo stock garrett vnt 15 you want 2800mbar

Bad, not safe tune. You need to read a little bit more.

I've given it more thought and realised the stupidity of my mod, i've now started from scratch and made this:
Following maps are changed:
DW
Smoke (MAF)
Torque
Boost Map
Boost Limiter Map
and SVBL (allthough my Boost limiter values were all under the 2350mbar value of the SVBL, but i raised it aswell to 2400 so as to give my more clearence for boost pressure spikes and not to instantly drop me into limp mode)

Duration and SOI maps are NOT modified because they cover I.Q. values up to 60.00 mg/cyc.

Please let me know if i've made some mistakes. Thank you!

Kill the EGR...don't need a friendly environmental car with alot of horsepower...Buy a TESLA if you do :D
To much torque on low RPM...you are close to a "clutch killer"...raise the torque limit from 2500 RPM to 3500 then start to drop soft untill 4500 (that's my safe value-you can establish your own)

Hello fanvw,

thank you for reviewing my tune, i will make the modifications on the torque limit,
regarding the EGR, i always keep forgetting to modify that, don't know why :D
Do you think the N75 map needs extrapolation to siut higher IQ values, or does it coap fine with sticking with the values of the last colomn (i think it was 50mg) even though i choose to inject 60mg? Thank you!

Regards,
Andrei
