Um,

I meant "N75 lower limit" - the map with the lower values gives higher readings in VCDS, to make the vanes open.

Yesterday, I figured out I can extend my pump voltage and torque limiter maps, because there is unused space right after them. It does have values looking like they belong to a map, but they're pretty much the same width/layout as the real data before them and have no axis descriptors; really looks like there were larger PV/TL maps there before.

This will be useful, since my pump voltage map isn't really made for high IQ values AND low IQ values to be able to fine-tune both, it's really either-or, because there aren't enough columns. Same thing for the torque limiter.

So I'll be extending both of those maps next, will have to redo all axis descriptors and values due to the different map size. Not that much of a problem :)

Pump voltage is now 15x16, will be 17x16 or 19x16 afterwards, not sure yet. TL will go from 19x3 to 22x3, probably.

Hey Nexus,

nice work, i`m pretty new to this kind of stuff.
Since yesterday i browse trough some files and compare them but it`s really hard to find the right maps.

I drive a tuned ALH too and there is already a remaped software onto it but the values which have been made seems to be very strange.
Maybe you can check my tune? I think there is a big error in the adaption for the bigger map sensor which can messure up to 3 bar.

How are you doing?

I implemented the linearization for my 3 bar map sensor and also adjusted the pump voltage settings for my 0,323 injectors.

Tomorrow i will flash this software into ecu and see what happens :D

Hi,

got the stockfile with modified pump map and map sensor linearization flashed on my car and it works.

You have explained in this post, how to adjust the diagnostig settings for the map sensor.
Here is the info how to adjust the map sensor linearization.

Adjusting map sensor linearization

1. For a car which has stock a 2,5 bar (2500 kpa) map sensor search for "200 2600" in 16 bit dezimal mode
2. For a 3 bar (3000 kpa) map sensor you can change this to "200 3000"

In my map file there are two times this values (1 set for every coding bank)

The two values right in front of them are the mV which the sensor will deliver for the pressure values which have been set (200 and 3000).
So if there is something uncalibrated after this, you can search for a technical data sheet from your sensor and there you can find the mV to mV range which stands for the pressure range it can gauge.

You will see, that mV values in the file are not the same as real mV from the sensor.
Maybe nexuss can explain which factor they have?

From where did you get this informations and can a 10 mm piston deliver more than 58 mg with bigger nozzles, like 0,232 ?
My pump map goes up to 65 mg, but i have just 10 mm piston on my pump..

Hi,

sorry, haven't had much time lately, this information should be relatively correct - it's taken from a Bosch publication describing the VP37 and its applications (different plunger pistons and fuel volumes that can be delivered).

That means, even if your pump voltage map goes that high, it won't be able to deliver 65mg/stroke with a 10mm plunger piston, no matter what size your nozzles are - there, the piston size is your limiting factor.

~57-58 mg/stroke is about what it can do with 10mm and large nozzles, max. With smaller nozzles, leakage losses are higher, leading to less max injectable fuel (~51mg/stroke for the .184 stock nozzles, for example). It can't go higher than that because the 10mm plunger piston only has a specific volume it can deliver - this is not adjustable other than switching to a larger piston.

Well, not strictly true - these values are fuel-temperature dependent and are calculated for 30°C fuel temp if I remember correctly (just search for diesel density and calculate it yourself from mm³ ;)). So if you cool your fuel down somehow, you can inject a little bit more (same volume, more mass - fuel density is higher when it's cold), but 65 is too much IMO.

The factor for the MAP linearisation axis (mV from MAP sensor) is 4.878049.

Hi thank you for that information.
Okay than my pump map is much over sized.

I think this is also the reason why it responses so badly now when i push the gas pedal..
It delivers not enough gas because my map goes up to 65 mg and ony there 3900 (4,8v or so) are requested..

I inserted the map linearization for my 3 bar bosch map sensor like: 82 981 200 3000 also i tried 82 951 200 3000 and 82 981 200 3120
But my analog gauge shows me over 1,2 bar pressure..
Everything is stock right now in my bin, don`t know why it doesn`t work like programmed (0,95) bar..

There is a GT1749VB in my car, maybe i need some work on the n75 map?
I haven`t find this map right now, maybe you can give me a hint.

Somewhere i read that the EDC15 has a learning phase and you can reset this learning records with winols, do you know something about this?
