Run Bosch DDE 4,0 without immo?

Postby rmtab » Wed Oct 02, 2013 10:47 am

Hi guys.

I thinking of doing an engine swap in a E34 BMW 525TDS, and put down a E39 530D engine.

I have search around on the web regarding this and confirmed the problems regarding immo, can-bus and so on...

x So does anyone know if it is possible to run the 530D ECU (Bosch DDE 4,0) whitout the immo function?

x Is it possible to remove the can-bus function in the ECU?

x Does the ECU really need to know the whicle speed?, from the ABS via can i guess??

Great thanks / Chris
