First Try: VW Golf Variant 2009 1.9 TDI BLS

Hi Guys,
as i'm really new to this Forum, i was a silent reader and used many tips and trick i read here.
So here is my first Attempt for tuning my bls.

I Tested it, its running, but the only thing which increased is FuelConsumption AND acceleration between 2000-3000.
I took a Test drive with VCDS and the log says, maximum boost didn't change around 2050mbar and IQ is maxed @ arount 57mg/str
So i need some tipps from you guys, how to improve it.
My Goal is to get the maximum out with with little to no smoke @ 2300mbar maximum absolute pressure, cause the KKK BV39 which is charging the engine has a maximum operation in this area.

-9 Driver Wish maps (starting @ 1C2BAC) - modified
-3 EGR Maps (starting @ 1C6350)
-5 EGR Hysteresis maps (starting @ 1C9D82) 2 and 5 is zero'd
-Torque limiter @ 1D4766 - modified
-IQ limited by MAF is not used (1D6210)
-Smoke Map (MAP) 1D64CC - modified
-3 Lambda maps (starting @ 1D64CC) - modified
-Torque to IQ conversion map (1D72DE) -not modified
- SOI 0-9 (starting @ 1D9778) - not modified
-SOI Selector (1DAF4E)
-SOI limiter (1DB8AE)
-Duration Selector (1E4F2E)
-Duration 0 - 5 (starting @ 1E4F6A)
-2x N75 Duty Cycle (starting @ 1E9E30)
-2x Boost map (starting @ 1EAF70) - modified
-Boost limiter (1EB258) - modified
-Single Value Boost limit (1EB3A2) - modified

hello mate.

this is very soft tune, you dont get a lot power. like for me in your file is too many changes. you dont need change half map ,sometimes it is enough one or two columns. iq by map lot changes, lambda dont need to be touch in your tune, boost a lot changes and why you used so high axis in boost map ? im not on 100% sure but maybe this is why you dont get more boost (look on this maps block 191366).

Thx for your fast reply, the Reason my map has that much changes is to smooth the map out, to not overstress it and not to produce that much smoke.
I didnt see that there is a second pair of boost maps/limiter, SVBL and driver wishes.

so editing the driver wishes and boost map /limiter svbl in the first Block, gave me the expected Boost increase to MAP 2330mbar, but unfortunately the IQ is still stuck @ 52-57 mg/str

i think you dont get 57mg on your mod max 50-51. in which vcds block you get 57 ? if you want more power change your torque smoothly to 330 Nm in 2250 RPM and hold this value to 3000 RPM, but if you will do that you must change iq by map in last column to 57-58 mg. changed your lambda maps to ori and you dont need soo high boost. i think 2250 is enough on this mod. in your first maps block your DW are still stock.

The Driver Wish maps in the first block are changed since file mod2.bin.
I changed the rest as you said. now reguested Torque goes up to around 330Nm.
I reduced Boost to around 2280. U were right, it was a reading failure while driving the IQ was around 50, now it goes up to 55.
NExt i will try to get it around 60 fpr 2200 boost. I've no clue, where its regulating down for now.

yep, i tried it, it kind of overboosted, so i reduced the boost map a little more.
Now attached is my current map, i messed a bit with the Torque to IQ map, because, there was the last bit which was not changed for higher IQ. BUt the iq is still maxed at around 55 and i have no idea where its limiting.

Now the car runs incredebily smooth, and higher power is noticeable.

Calculated with the Data i get while driving, the car now has theoretically about 125 to 130 hp @4000rpm

I Use the Formula TQ=(IQ*6*Cyl.Number)/4*Correction Factor
Correction Factor 0,75 for high rpm and 1 fpr under 2250rpm
BHP = (TQ*RPM)/7121
The Formula is rechecked with the standard IQ and TQ the car has

So here is the last file i made for now, its nearly the same as mod5.bin but again with original TQ to IQ map and a little change to the smoke map.

I will Test it in daily drive for now and will report shortly.

Here's my current Mapping:
Build completely new from scratch with some new knowledge. Tested and logged on the Highway

This is the diagram i calculated from my VCDS Log
over IQ and Engine Speed:

There Nearly Zero Change in Drivers Whish, mainly TQ to IQ map, TQ limiter, Boost Map, MAP Smokemap and SVBL.
VCDS is showing that every Change like requested Torque and IQ and Boost is working perfect as i calculated it.
But i Think there is a Speed Limiter somewhere in the Software, because its perfectly accelerating until 4000rpm in 5th Gear (187km/h) and then its like braking, the Car is holding the speed uphill AND downhill.

Any Idea?
