Golf 4 TDI ALH 038906012M

Hi there,

i spend hours on earning knowledge about winols and finding maps.
I have a galletto 1260 and made a dump from my mapped car and compared it to a stock file.

This is my hardware setup:
- 0,232 injectors
- GT1749VB
- 300 pka map sensor
- Big smic (double size)
- Sachs clutch up to 400 NM
- single fly wheel

I found many maps which were edited but not everything makes much sense for me.
Please can you have a look at the maps i have found:

Here is the link where you can see how they look in winols: http://80.190.182.98/bla/
And this are my maps which i have found and i have named: http://80.190.182.98/bla/maps.png

The map pairs i have found are named _1

What i need to know is how and where is the linearizion made for the bigger map sensor?
The graphs i have uploaded and their values are all from my tuned car, which runs at 1,7 bar turbo pressure but the strange thing is, that the values in the boost maps are lower than in the original file.

I think there is a failure in my tune and it has to do with the bigger map sensor.

The car runs well, no black smoke and so but it starts a bit hard when its cold and also the turbo pressure acts a little bit strange, sometimes it spools up to 1,9 bar then just to 1,6 ...

Hi,

some of the maps are named incorrectly, also, you need to figure out axis ratios etc.

Basically, I don't see anything at all adapted for a 3 bar map sensor - what the "tuner" has done instead is decalibrated everything.

That means, he did not adjust the MAP sensor linearisation and create a boost map based on real values, but instead he just put in the sensor and uses much lower (decalibrated) values that he thinks should match requested boost (because the 3 bar MAP sensor gives out lower voltage at the same pressure, he just moved some boost values downwards - should have modified them all...).

Same thing for pump voltage (which is named unknown7), just decalibrated the pump voltage map. Also, some other calibrations/correction maps are now decalibrated.

Basically, this looks like an e*ay-tune/one done by someone without enough skills or will to do it right, sorry...you should probably start over.

There are pump voltage maps for .232 injectors, just look around a bit.

Your tuner also didn't know how to extend diagnostic limits and injection quantity limits - that's why he has to decalibrate stuff to fool the ECU into injecting more, or he was simply too lazy (but usually it's just that he doesn't even know better...).

If you want to do it right, there's a lot of work to be done...but it'll pay off.

A) fix the linearisation for the 3 bar MAP sensor
B) fix the pump voltage map so it shows real-world values
C) change diagnostic limiters/factors so you can display more than 2601 mBar
D) adjust fuelling maps - driver's wish, smoke limiter (calculate for smoke-free operation, 17-18:1 or leaner, maybe change some axis values), torque limiter, SOI (start of injection) maps calculated for your injectors/IQ
E) adjust boost maps (now with real mBar values) - requested boost, boost limiter, SVBL, N75
F) do log runs and compare to your maps and see whether actual boost is smooth or needs more work, whether it runs smoke-free and smoothly etc
G) be happy ;)

Hey Nexus,

thanks for your reply, i will start from scratch and try to write my own mapfile.

Hi,

i have flashed my car since a few days now with a standard bin and implemented the linearization for the map sensor and corrected the pump voltage map for the bigger 0,232 injectors (car has 10 mm stock pump)

Car runs good and no smoke is visibly so i think the voltage map is nice to work with, maybe also for others.
imo only a wideband lambda can help for finding better values ...

The boost is really spiky and i need to play with n75
I cant find the n75 map, can someone help me?
