Kess V2 Renault Delphi DCM 3.4

Postby gsa50 » Thu Mar 10, 2016 3:56 pm

Hello everybody!

Me and my friends bought a Kess V2 Master to tune our own cars... Today we tried to read the ecu of a Renault Megane III 1.5 dci 90 hp (Delphi DCM 3.4) with card system. The reading starts but by (about) 15 % there is an an errer (error in reading/data connection). The car is listed in the Kess protocols...

Do you have any idea to solve that problem?

Thanks for your help!

Stefan

Are you getting the error because the dashboard is turning off? There's a bit of a trick to getting it to stay on.

I don't know. I thought this error might occur, because the control unit (I mean the delphi) turns into sleep mode or something like that.

Do you have any idea?

Make sure you have all of the help guides downloaded on Kess. If you're new to it, make sure you're connected to the internet, click help on the startup screen where you pick from car, bike, tractor etc then download the help manuals.

I have taken this from a megane with keycard ignition on Kess. It may or may not help you but if you try and it doesn't work, at least we have ruled out the ignition.

Cars equipped with key card require a special procedure to turn on / off the dash:

Case 1 - usually for Megane

How to turn on the dash: Without touching the pedals, shift the transmission into neutral and press the Start button until the dash comes on and the relay 'clicks'.
How to turn off the dash Press the Start button twice and remove the key card (not doing so the vehicle does not turn off completely).

Case 2 - usually for Laguna

How to turn on the dash: On cars equipped with manual transmission engage the first gear, while on cars with automatic transmission put the lever to N (Neutral). Press and hold the Start button until the display shows the message to remove the key card, but do not remove it, because by doing so the dash will turn off.
How to turn off the dash: Remove the key card.
