Hi there

I currently have a Renault Megane 1.9 DCI 120 2004 Plate

I was wondering if someone could help me in identifying what ECU i actually have im not sure wether it is the EDC15 or the EDC16C3 ECU

I am wanting to disable the EGR from the ECU so that i can blank it off as from what i know they tend to soot up badly and cause premature turbo failure.

The tools i currently own are:

Galletto 1260
KWP 2000+
ECU safe 1.9.X latest from the devs site

Once i identify the th ecu could i read and disable the EGR via the tools i have ?

You need Winols to modify the ECU software.You can find a lot of info in EGR section.Just search about it.I don't know your ECU type may be EDC15C3.EGR disable here is not so hard.Just search and read :)It is one switch.Ff you send me ORI ECU file i can do it for you , but you will not learn anythink.Try to read your ECU with your tools first.
