EGR OFF on a SKODA Yeti 2.0 L 4x 4

Postby sibujacob » Fri Jul 01, 2016 4:07 pm

Does anybody have an idea whether it is possible to switch OFF the EGR on a Skoda Yeti without having to use a blanking plate.

If we shut the EGR OFF , will it create a lot of carbon deposit at the EGR entrance and in this case is cleaning necessary every 5000 KM oil change.

Yes its possible and if you shut off EGR it will not recirculate exhaust gases - no more carbon in the intake system.

What about any problems with DPF ? Do we have a problem with that component while EGR is OFF ?
Can we use the VCDS from Rose tech to shut the EGR off

Usually no problems with DPF. You need flash tool to read/write ECU, VCDS can't do it.

How do we move about from here on the EGR deletion . Is there any site where the flash tool can be purchased.
