Ecu doesn't store errors

Postby djdimmu » Fri Dec 21, 2012 10:23 pm

Hey all, I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong section. So here's the thing: I've done a DPF off operation at a local tuner, and I've recently discovered something is not right with the CEL. The ECU is not storing any errors for the following, and not limited to: EGR valve, MAP sensor, boost pressure solenoid, fuel pump, etc. Nothing's showing up on the dash, no CEL, nothing. Surprisingly, there's a "check injection" message on the car's display upon disconnecting the MAF meter. So what do you guys think of this? The warranty for what the tuner did expired, so I'll have to look somewhere else to reflash the ECU. I've posted the modified memory here:

dpf-problem-on-a-2006-megane-t180 - fourth post

I'd really appreciate if you guys took a look and told me if it is ok. The original ECU file can also be found in that post. Thank you.

I have the same problem on a 307 1.6 hdi, my car keeps going into limp mode with no error codes, the only way to get it out is to clear the code that are not there! Mine too has had DPF off

I suggest you post your modified file and original if it is possible.
A lot of people delete error codes inside the bin and use wrong switches...that is one thing that could be in your case.

You probably do not have original file from your ECU any more...so picture from the cover of the ECU would be needed as well...

cheers.

I also have seen this before , the guy that is modded your file has removed all DTC tables from your file insted of making proper DPF off its normal the likes of volta, ecusafe and other cracked software makes it like this! and is not good for the next man to take a look at the car when its next fault comes up! may be you could get someone that can do your file the correct way ....

Thanks kev
