No more Free stuff

Postby Houdini » Mon Jul 18, 2016 1:05 pm

Hi guys

i am really starting to get pissed of by the guys on this forum. i give a guy a free map pack and then he keeps on messaging me for another map pack. he isn't eager to learn he just want's everything on a plate. so i told him that i am going to charge him just like allot of people that buys map packs from me, then he complaints about the price. what the hell is wrong with people. if you do not want to learn how to find maps yourself and make your own map packs why do you expect them to be cheap, if you want cheap work then download free, half made map packs.

it's simple if you do not spend time to learn yourself you would have to pay the price that i ask for a map pack, i spend years learning myself and you just want it for free or a cheap price. i do not think so.

i am talking to the guys that do not want to learn, i do not mind helping guys that are eager to learn.

the problem is Quality

lot people make map pack with ols 2.24 and that is totally out of date software if you know all that a brand new version can do

and it's the same for those that sell damos files for ols imported with obsolète importer check the damos import version and it's update to see what i speak about

new versions of ols even support 1bit maps
up to some month ago only 8 bit maps where supported so all the damos where imported with a new importer
and so lot more switches with newer versions because older damos import from 2013 rejected lot maps because format 1bit not supported at that time

i know what you are saying, there are allot of cheap crap stuff on ebay lol, i spend a huge amount of time making map packs, and by that i mean proper map packs. but guys on here want's everything for the lowest price possible, they have no idea how much time and effort that goes into making proper stuff.

+1 !! I think the same mate. if somebody get help (map pack, egr off etc) and next day again ask about the same things, so or he is too stupid (sorry buy it anoying me very much) or he is big lazy ass ! if he have an exaplme he can compare with other files and do it by yoursef ...but better to linger about the same and wait until someone will do it for him !!! you dont want to learn if you have all necessary info ??!! so pay for it !!

cheers

I think here to talk about me,
Houdini thanks for map pack, It is really excellent map pack, but I do not have enough time to look for maps,
and I want to pay for map pack.
but you want 30 euros per map pack,I think it's too expensive, I would pay up to a maximum of 20 euros per one map pack,
because on eBay anyone can buy tuning service for only 30-40 usd.
(EDC16xx EDC17xx....... FAP/DFP, EGR, Start Stop, Launch control...... anything you want)

The problem is, when you need a service from someone, you don't really get any say, or right to hold judgement over the value of his/her time.

Additionally, I don't know the OP's level of skill, but you only need a smidgen of common sense to blow most ebay tuners out of the water. This is my own, and the opinion of many others who have seen lots of tuners come and go, selling their wares at any price point people will buy at. If these sellers own level of self respect means they charge £20 for what is a very advanced and technical job, then there should be alarm bells. But it's your call.

Tuning isn't expensive, but it costs a lot of money. I've spent more than I'd like to on tuning, but the alternative is not to tune.

The only time i've seen chiptuning done cheaply is when someone or someone elses work is getting ripped off, or that someone is being taken advantage of.

I know people who would want four or five times the prices listed here for a map pack. These people put hours in, give quality and deserve the money. Someone with adequate brains for tuning will still turn a nice profit even then from buying the info. And yes it is to some degree about the profit, because tuning is a business oriented activity. Nothing stopping someone buying a map pack to tune their own car, but they'l have to pay like everyone else does, and they won't make much in terms of a return from it.

Just how it is. My message here really is he's not charging a lot, and comparing the prices with ebay offering is more of an insult, given the crap that ebay tends to spout as far as tuning wares go.

I just say, it to expensive for me,I do not underestimate anyone else's work.
On eBay for only 30-40 usd you get professionally tuned file + map pack,
(just compare ori with tuned file in winols, all the necessary maps are there)
