Replacing a tuned file

Postby thesaint » Thu Jun 04, 2015 3:19 pm

Hi there,
i have a tuned file in my 2011 MK6 R. It was tuned by GIAC. I would like to know if you can read this file and save it to my pc then load another file that i want to test. Later reload the GIAC file.

iv heard that these GIAC files are protected so not sure if it can be done.

many thanks for your help. I am just starting to learn about tuning.

Bumping this, need to replace my SW .
Is it even possible to remove sw when a giac chip is soldered in?

Hi,
Those chips are socketed in protection boards, you will not read the chip but always are able to step back to ori file ( new chip with stock bin) and start tuning from scratch.
Regards.
