No, only part of it!

After you do the hysteresis solution, to prevent fault codes, you have to put a EGR blanking plate on the exhaust manifold to completely close off the EGR system.

Hi guys.

Sorry to hijack old thread, but this is relevant to the questions I have.

VW T5 2.5 TDI with EDC16U31 ECU.

At present the EGR is blanked but still fitted (plugged in, and tied out of way). When driving I'm getting fault codes thrown up and van goes into limp mode. I have read the map and located the 5 hysteresis bumps (they are located after the EGR maps).

My questions are:-

1. If I zero the content of hysteresis bumps 2 and 5 can I unplug and remove the EGR completely without getting DTCs and limp mode?

2. I have located two sets of hysteresis bumps, do I have to edit both?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
