How to read Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTD 8V Mjet

Postby capske » Sat Aug 20, 2016 11:02 am

Hi everyone,

Could someone please help me with how to read an Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTD 8V Mjet 115PS / 84.6KW.

Below you will find ecu information.

ECU Manufacturer: Bosch
ECU type: EDC16C39
ECU Hardware Number: 51821938/281015162
ECU Software Number: 394529@

I usually work with Galletto tool, but I wasn't successful. A little information about how to read this ecu would be welcome.

Can i do this with Galletto V53 or V54? If not, what tool should I use?

Thanks in advance.

You can read biscuits, ful flash through the BDM interface (wiring diagram edc16 bdm FGtach). Through obd read only calibration flash. Read and save ful, and then calmly read and write obd.

Hi Deman,

Thanks for your reply.

Ok, i'll get the Ecu out and do a full bdm backup first.

To read through obd, which protocol do i take? I couldn't find the car in the list. There is only Alfa Romeo 159 1.9/2.4 JTDM 16/20v.

Thanks.
