Does someone have a manual or guideline as to how to use ECU Safe?
I have an original file for the old Golf IV GTI 1.8 20V Turbo engine and a modoifed Upsolute file -- which i can compare in Winols -- not sure what im looking at - dont know where to start either...

But you can certainly see the differences in the maps -- maybe ECUSAFE can recognise and identify each map??

Please let me know where to start.

Thanks alot

Ecusafe cannot identify each map! It's just a tool not a proper remapping software like Winols.

Diesel Particulate Filter or "filtre à particules". It's a filter underneath the car which lowers PM10 emissions. However, since the PM10s are burned inside the filter, it produces more dangerous PM1 and PM2, which are not monitored. Thus it is supposed to be a "green" device when in reality it's not. Also it causes lots of problem and it's maintenance is extremely expensive.

There are many different FAP systems used by the manifacturers, some need lots of money spent some do not. Most advise to remove it before remapping since it's a huge blocking for the exhaust fumes.

What car do you have (sorry if I missed it)

Yes I have learned that - even when one is interested I purchasing the products that the professionals sell - still the service is absolutely vague and they seem uninterested.

Someone knowledgable enough should turn the industry on it's head and provide superior service and products at acceptable pricing and free damos files to assist the tuners.

Information should be free - that's my opinion anyway.
