Best tool for extract a file from ECU

Hi, I am new on tuning and I don't know how to extract the file to use in WinOls. I thought Minipro TL866cs was suitable for the task but was told it is not. I watched videos about WinOls but the most simpliest first step eludes me, which is: to know the appropriate tool and how to get the file to work in WinOls.

What car do you have?

I used to have a kessv2 which covered lots of vehicles.

VCDS Cable can be used for some ecu's

i doubt that vcds can read flash from ecu
maybe galletto ,mpps,ktag,kess ,cmd............a lot of them
