1.9 alh tdi stage 1 remap egr delete

this is a stage one remap i made up following the the guide by nexus665.

i've changed Drivers wish, boost request, svbl, boost target, toque limiter and smoke limiter.

2059egr is my latest file with egr block off. this is about my 3rd iteration slowly increase boost and fuel. was really conservative the first time.

2506 is the stock file read from the car.

Have been doing a bit of datalogging with VCDS and found i am getting a consistent boost spike from that goes up to 2450 mbar. so i will be updating the n75 map to help this. i haven't changed the n75 map so far. i am planning on increase the values in the n75 map a bit before and during the points where i typically see the worst boost spikes.

any comments/concerns ect welcome.

Hello there! In my previous car(same Golv IV 1.9TDI ALH) i used quite close remap to yours.
I don't know why but i had a lot of smoke behind me, i mean really lot of smoke... Hope you dont.
Can I ask how you download and upload the new map? What program have you used? I got the Vag Com cable, but what kind of prog i need to take mine ori map

I am having zero issues with smoke right now. i did just completely clean my intake manifold as well as install a new smic. ( although i think with the smoke map that shouldn't make that much of a difference). I would see a slight haze only above 3000 rpm when it was warmer out 25 Celsius or so. now that the ambient air is cooler i hardly see any smoke.

also i may be running more boost pressure than you were running? just because of the boost spike i get

The boost pressure was lower at mine map yeah... I don't know why it was so smoking still but i dont remember all the maps. It was about 2 years ago and than i was still watching how the Service man wrote the maps.

also i am using a mpps "box" i got off ebay there is a youtuber that has some notes on tuning a similar engine and had a link to it in a video. the software is provided with it its a bit strange to use need to be opened at after you plug the cable in and run in administrator and some other quirks but once i figured that out it has worked flawless.

Your AFR was probably not calculated correctly or durations was just increased out of calibration, which many noob tuners do, which is a very bad way of tuning, that causes alot of smoke and high egt. Good tune takes lot of calculations.
