After chatting to so many people at so many companies, i found that the Massimo at Alientech was most helpful with the advise and willing to assist with product information and so i decided to buy the Powergate Master Programmer for VAG engine -- the device itself is nice and easy to use, and has its own checksum calculations. Its compatible with ALL VAG engines (obviously only the ones that can be OBD programmed) so this solves my problem with my Golf VI GTI --

I expect to recieve the unit in 7 days -- - will post pictures as soon as i get the package from Italy.

I'm thinking to buy Powergate3 master + slave to do my Alfa Giulietta with Marelli ECU. It's cheapest one to do this car.
