Starting tuning my own cars using kess v2 clone, k-suite andhardware version 4.036 and kess 2.15. My dilemma, i have kia sedona/carnival 2, 2.9 engine year 2008, using obd2 connector (as stated in help menu). If i use carnival 2 in drop down menu it states mode obd2, FAM 265, CHK is ticked but RD is unticked (i assume is "read". So if i go proceed.. kess 2 will get ecu info but no read capability? So i can get info but cannot proceed to read ecu file? If i use sedona 2 it shows fam and rd as ticked (assume its usable) i go to get ecu info(1st step)kess comunicates with ecu, looks like its downloading but then shows WAKE UP ERROR? I read that wake up error could be im reading wrong ecu family, but using sedona 2 in drop down list with both fam and rd as ticked and this is my car, one would think it should be ok. Help page on k suite states use obd2 and possibly thin blue wire where 12volts needed.. have tried with and without added 12volt wire.. stumped so all help graciously accepted.i have more pics.

Maybe you need to hook up the blue cord from the "jack" to the ECU to "wake it up" ;)
