Land Rover Freelander 1 TD4 82/112 WinOls Project

Postby Skojevac » Tue Feb 14, 2017 10:50 am

Here is a winols project with bunch of maps I was able to identify, and I would appreciate if someone more experienced could take a look and tell me if I got it right, especially the SOI maps. ECU is bosh DDE4 with BMW engine, almost the same like the one in e46 and with some similarities with e53 or 530, only those are 6 cylinders, so I cross-referenced my file with those in order to identify the maps. Also, I need to ask what maps need to be changed for tuning. Thanks in advance.

Hi.
Here's a ori map from MG-ZT CDTi 135hp. You can see what maps they modified to increase the output...might not be in the same locations though.
Also bare in mind that the MG has a wastegate turbo and the freelander a variable geometry so turbo control maps will be totally different.

Regards
Charlie

Hi man, appreciate you reply, I'm gonna take a look at this. I think I can see the difference you're talking about whey mentioning turbos. If I'm not wrong it's the N75 maps you are talking about, they are like totally different, like they had been put together in a totally different manner. Also I was hoping for some more response from fellow tuners, but it is what it is. Thanks dude.

Haha. I am far from being a tuner. Just a Maintenance Engineer interested in car electronics.

You're right about the maps, they will be quite opposite as the wastegate and the variable geometry work different IMHO.

Another thing might be worth mentioning is that the MG-ZT 135 has another map for a sensor they used to measure air temperature before intercooler for better volumetric efficiency calculations...that is in case you find any strange temperature correction maps only in the MG-ZT file and not in your TD4.

The GT1749V turbo from freelander is good for 160 hp according to the graph attached.
