How-to remove a DTC inside MED17?

I'm NOT looking for a plugin or program of help to do a file. I'm trying to understand were the dtc's live in an MED17(or similar idea) and if it's possible to edit there function in a hex editor like WinOLS or similar (DTC will store - MIL active, DTC will Store - MIL Off, DTC will NOT Store, MIL Off...etc). I'm not looking to edit codes like P0420, P0430. I'm looking for codes that cannot be resolved easily by maps and don't correlate to emissions(open circuit to muffler exhaust bypass..etc)

Can a read with a Kess, read the file to edit the dtc's or will a bench read be required with a ktag?

I know how to do this on some other ECU's like Visteon, just wondering if there's a way to do this in MED17 beside using a program like Swiftec(..or similar).

yes there are solutions for all ECUS

You can buy swiftec or you figured out how do erase it with winols or hexeditor.
I read and try lot of stuff to learn how do find and erase errors on VAG EDC16/17.
I flashed my test ecu over 100 times for finding right solution.

I have made my own exel sheet for calculating adress for switch
In most VAG EDC17 it is for me easier as ind VAG EDC16 to find the right adresses for calculation.
Easiest is PCR 2.1

Yes, I have official WinOLS paid version.

I've even looked at a few mappacks for different versions of MED17/ME17, I see numerous address's involving DTC switches..but have no idea how to know which of these is for a particular DTC code, because the titles/name abbreviation doesn't correlate to the DTC code.

I don't do much EDC files, if I touch Bosch stuff it's for MED17/ME17. I was looking into swiftec but they seem to be focused on diesel versus petrol, not really a solution for me.

Visteon I can manage, it's the Bosch DTC's switches I cannot find any information about or even tutorials to read up on. Can it be done with a OBD Kess read, do they live in the Kess read file or would I need to bench read with something like a ktag and edit one of the other 3 files other than the maps file?

Do you remember the title of your post/thread for the excel sheet, I'll search it up, just not sure what I'm looking for?

Bringing this topic back from the dead.

I've been at this again to disable the DTC correctly and not just a hack fix.

I know how to find the DTC in file but I don't understand the Masks.

Whats the different between "DFC OFF Mask" , "DFC Behavior Mask", "DFES error type assignment"?

Is their a list for the Mask value description? Meaning which value will allow DTC to store but NOT turn on the MIL, which value will allow DTC to store AND turn on MIL, which value will NOT allow DTC to store and NOT allow MIL?
