Greetings from Denmark!

Hello everybody

The name is Niels, i am 22 years and i am currently studying for engineer (marine engineer). This is a education that here in Denmark lasts for 4.5 years. I am just past the halfway point now, so the end is coming closer (2019).

If I should describe myself, only one thing would really nail it: Car nerd to the fingertips.

With 16 years i bought my first car witch was a Audi 80 B4 1.9 TDI. I bought it as a damaged car of a friend, and rebuild it slowly. The timing belt had come of, so i also had to rebuild the head. After that i startet putting parts on it like lower springs and other fuel nozzles (0.216 from ebay )
Just before i turned 18 tho i fell in love with a new car: A 1999 Audi A6 4b 2.5 V6 TDI Quattro with full s-line and an automatic gearbox. A lovely car which i had many good km in.

But as you all know the taxes on cars here in DK are quite high, and when i started studying for engineer i had to move in a flat with my GF. The car was now way too expensive and i had to sell it off. Especially because i had 50 km to school.

1.5 years passed where i took the train to school and lived without a car. i had now gotten a parttime job besides the study so i finally could afford a car again. But since i had to travel at least 100 km a day this car had to be as fuel efficient as possible. So there really was only one car for the job: the Lupo 3L. After roughly 2 months of looking i found a especially nice example witch had cruise control, electrical windows and a central lock. I ended up buying this one and oh dear what a car. Even tho it's quite a different car, i have never loved a car so much. Since then ha have put it up to date with all service possible, and retrofittet a lot of rare parts, like original GTI 8 speakers, and GTI Xenon headlights.

As you may have noticed by now, the only cars I've owned had been VAG's TDI's. I must say that i am a true VAG fan, and love to work on my own cars. The mechanical part has never been a problem for me, and VCDS is also working very good for me, so now i would like to take the next step into ECU programming. I have already seen som videos on youtube about winOLS and know now what an EGR map for example is, but i am still very new into this and hungry for more knowledge. So i hope i can learn a lot from this community, and maybe also over time contribute with some things.

I have for shure forgotten a lot, so feel free to ask me :)

Cheers.

Niels
