Flashing Different SW to Bosch EDC16 ECU

Hi guys, is there someone who's done this. I need to flash different sw number to edc16c35 ecu, with the exact same hw number, only partial read not full. Is there any chance to brick the ecu? Thanks.

Well I didn't try it with EDC16 but with EDC15 same HW and different partial SW it got working with different issues.

I wouldn't do it.

Bad engine parameters reading, I suppose because different memory addresses. I didn't start the car, if important data like SOI had been wrong it may have damaged engine.
