Did you notice any adverse side effects whatsoever after final map?
I've been asked to tune a friend's ECU file for a 1.9TDI ALH Golf

If you do it aggressive as my car, consider a new clutch :D

i believe the computer shows 3,7L/100km even if the car needs little bit more.

it shows something about 1030km and is full with fuel.

so maybe around 5L but anyway compared to the todays 140hp cars its a dream consumption :)

Since I've started this thread everybody is asking me for my remapped file or for help. I will answer here with my own example. I've spent more than 6 months of forums surfing and tech data reading until I got to my first result. I want like all those that are asking for free help to try first and read, than work and after ask me for an opinion or ask anyone who worked their ass off for the first tune. If i will give you my file, you will copy paste and learn nothing. My file is not a secret but you get more satisfaction when you do everything by yourself. I hope that nobody will understand me wrong and I will not be criticized to much. Thank you. If you are on this forum than you all ready did your first step. This is a wonderful place where to learn how to work your first remap. Good luck

Bora 1,9 TDI fuel tank capacity is 55L -> 1030/55 = 18,7 km/L (ø5,3) -> nice job !
It is seen before that fuel consumption is not showing correct in the display. What syncro angle are you using? (Vag-Com/VCDS can tell)
However there is potential in this car to go beyond 20 km/L (less than ø5,0) if you tweak with SOI, boost and smokemap. + car parts runs smooth. But it is the last 10% that is hardest tweaking to get (expect many runs with Vag-Com....)

Good work !

I've got nothing to prove. With a full tank I get around 1380 km range. This is not precise science because range value has variations even when you get uphill or downhill. I know my car and fuel consumption and I appreciate always a critic. But trust me, I drive 200 km with 7.5 l of fuel. And that is a fact :D :D :)

Very impressive indeed :-)

I can "only" do 200 km with 9,5-10 liter daily driven, although a PD130 Estate, but am very satisfied for my setup (runs more economical than my old AFN).
I bet a lot of people have interest in examining your ECU setup.

Well done !

yes for sure, i wonder how its possible to have such a good consumption because he says that SOI is stock.
and how does it come that you reach 140hp with stock nozzles ? :)

If SOI is stock, then your smokemap could be the key (perfect AFR balance) and nicely balanced N75 map for minimum air resistance. I have had to modify my SOI in low and mid-range to get this far + you are focused on economy when you are driving (much is also driver skills).
HP on a diesel is more like "how far you dare to have your turbo boost" in RPM.. more interesting is "Torque figures".
