EMS 2K KV6

So trying out something a bit different.

Siemens ECUs seem to run a bit different to the good old Bosch stuff so it's really throwing me off, especially the axis.

Understand the R53 minis also use the same ECU but even that doesn't help much.

Not asking for "all the maps" , just a bit of help to understand the logic such as if it's an 8bit or 16bit ECU. R53 seems to be 16 bit but I'm finding more maps in 8 bit mode? How are axis found in this ECU or do we just use 'load points' ?

Here's what I think might be base spark table? X axis = Load , Y = rpm ?

R53 have maps in 8 bits and 16 bits.
Some axis are in 8 bits, some in 16 bits.
Spark advance map is 8 bit map,.factor 0,375, offset -23,6
Y axis is rpm factor 32 in 8 bits
X axis is air amount in mg/stroke, 5,447 in 8 bit.
Al axis are located in front of maps area.
Main injection maps is in 16 bits.
Throttle maps are in 8 bits.

Thanks for that, bit annoying they switch back & forth between 8/16 bit

I started using a guide for MS41 last night to get started with understanding the Siemens systems a bit more (really enjoy those nights were things start clicking into place and the next thing you know it's 1am!)

No MAF sensor on these just a MAP sensor. So perhaps the X axis is a 'calculated' load % , Y axis not sure on factor.

Is there any easy way to identify the end or size of tables? Like bosch as Axis lengths

Wrong mate, MS41 is different from EMS2k even both are Siemens.Air mass is calculated by ECU using data from TMAP sensor, mean pressure and air temperature.Engine is made by Chrysler, and they hate the MAF sensor,EGR and so on,they don't care about polution.Only goal was a reliable engine and lot of power.

Ah I see now. Stupidly I thought R53 mini had MAF sensor.

So it operates in a sort of Speed density/MAF sensor logic? As in it uses Speed density to create a MAF value which it then in turn uses for fuel/ignition control?

I thought I'd also found a VE table as it follows the stock torque curve very closely, perhaps this for expected manifold pressure vs throttle position ....

Would you happen to have a EMS2k map pack for the r53 so I could try and understand it a bit easier?

Hello I am looking for the factor of lambda map. Can someone share it?
