Hi from Philippines

Greetings!

I am a Tuner but using mostly U.S., Australian, made tuning hardware and softwares and standalones. The said hardware/softwares automatically identify maps and display tables for immediate tuning in realtime and offline mode, reading writing and starting are no issues, even upgrading large capacity injectors and installation of turbocharger to a non-turbocharged engines, tuning is straightforward. But most of these said tuning tools are dedicated to particular brands but others are universal just like the standalones. The good thing with these are there are no drivers or Checksum issues on these. I am new to European ECU tuning methods and I found out there are a lot of process to make good use of these. Once you have the hardware/software to retrieve the hexdump file, a tuner software is needed to modify the files, and if in the tuner software, a certain driver is not in the list of drivers, maps will not be identified. the user must identify the maps via hex or 2d image identification which is a big challenge for newbies. After that it will be a checksum issues. I joined the forum to learn and enhance my tuning skills and to further learn how to deal with these issues with Euro methods....I hoping I will have the help and information I needed in this tuning community.
